A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available from May 1st to June 12th in Brighton, MI, serving multiple school buildings. This role primarily focuses on supporting students in grades JK-4, with additional responsibilities in a specialized classroom for eight students enrolled in a cochlear implant (CI) program. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized speech-language therapy to students predominantly in grades JK-4. Deliver specialized support within the CI program classroom, addressing the unique needs of students with cochlear implants. Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective therapy plans. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to district and regulatory standards. Adapt therapy interventions to the diverse communication needs of students. Qualifications and Experience: Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or working under Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status. Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred. Knowledge of language development, speech disorders, and related therapeutic techniques. Ability to work across multiple school settings and adapt to varying student needs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Location: This assignment is based in Brighton, Michigan, involving work across multiple school buildings within the district.
