43886BR Extended Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Org Level 1: Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso Position Description: This position is responsible for performing essential radiological procedures and for handling the necessary details associated with those procedures; i.e. preparing patients for procedures, processing film, and maintaining records and reports. Work is performed under general supervision. Work is performed independently within established guidelines and procedures. Work is performed in usual clinic conditions; requires a high degree of contact with patients and physicians. Requisition ID: 43886BR Optional Attachments: Transcript Travel Required: None Major/Essential Functions: Knowledge of radiographic film processing, ability to understand and apply radiographic principles ,be able to use adaptable methods to perform routine radiographic positions. Have ability to operate and maintain x-ray equipment ,familiarity with radiation safety precautions, and apply ALARA concepts. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Currently certified with the Texas State Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Act Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT C.P.R. certified. High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved two year program in radiological technology or two years of experience in radiology. Related education may be substituted for the required experience. Be currently registered with the ARRT. in Radiography. Be currently certified as a general medical radiologic technologist. Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position. Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.). Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
