Responsibilities Central Maine Heart and Vascular Instituteis seeking aFull Time, Provider Support Access Specialistto join our team! Position Summary: Responsible for the patient experience as it relates to the administrative process, from start to finish. Point of contact for internal team members, external vendors/organizations, and patients. This position will play a key role in streamlining workflow to ensure efficient scheduling for consultations, testing, procedures and follow-up appointments. Ensures excellent patient experience, maximize reimbursement, minimize time from referral to procedure, and aid in positive outcomes. Education and Experience: High School graduate or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred Minimum of two years relevant experience, including knowledge of scheduling, registration, patient billing, and medical terminology required. Minimum of three years' experience as surgery scheduler preferred. Demonstrates proficiency with data entry/keyboarding.
