Position Summary: We are excited to invite a seasoned Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter to join our well-respected mortgage client. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all reviewed assets conform to relevant investor guidelines. Your expertise will be essential in making quality and accurate underwriting decisions. Position Locations: Phoenix, AZ Tampa, FL St. Louis, MO Plano, TX Moorpark, CA Pasadena, CA Essential Duties: Evaluate a diverse range of mortgage loans, including FHA loans. Review mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Support clients in the preparation of mortgage applications and help resolve outstanding issues. Work closely with compliance officers to ensure conformity with Federal, State, and local regulations regarding mortgage and loan materials. Make timely and informed decisions on mortgage applications, including approvals and denials. Execute additional related duties as necessary. Demonstrate behaviors that embody the company's values and culture. Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Have at least 3 years of relevant mortgage underwriting experience. Demonstrate a strong understanding of mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act. Familiarity with state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines is preferred. Skills and Job-Specific Competencies: Extensive knowledge of mortgage underwriting principles and experience with automated underwriting systems. Proficient in the utilization of automated underwriting tools. Travel Requirements: No travel is required unless specified by the client. Physical Requirements: The role may require mobility for in-person meetings, as well as extended periods of sitting or standing, and the use of telecommunication and electronic devices. Our compensation is determined by factors such as education, certifications, location, and experience. The estimated hourly pay range for this role is $26 - $36.
