The Opportunity: The Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the short-term trading desk, with a focus on BESS. Namely, developing bidding strategies, maintaining reporting and performing market fundamental modeling and analysis. What You'll Do at Enel North America: Research and modelling of electricity market supply, demand and grid congestion fundamentals for daily trading. Develop, own, and distribute automated analysis and reporting tools Build market analysis and modeling to support effective BESS bidding/optimization strategies Work with the short-term trading group to create and analyze daily strategies across all ISO markets (primary market is ERCOT, with SPP and PJM as a plus) Data mining and analysis to identify commercial opportunities Support management of short term trading opportunities and pricing structured products (e.g. Tolling agreements) Who You Are: Experience with advanced programming languages (e.g. Python & SQL) and preferably with AI technology Experience with common Python libraries for data analysis and modeling (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Keras, TensorFlow, Matplotlib, Bokeh, Plotly etc.) Experience with relational database platforms (Oracle, Snowflake) Experience with establishing and maintaining API connections (send and receive) Experience with forecasting techniques and handling large, complex time-series data sets Team-oriented and collaborative Must be effective working in a fast-paced team environment, and able to see projects through to completion Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a group Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required Demonstrates creativity, and independent thought when solving problems Good understanding of business processes and data management Knowledge of US Electricity markets and power systems - experience with one or more ISO markets preferred. What Enel North America Offers You: The pay range for this position is $105,500.00 to $158,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education, and internal equity.
