Part-Time Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department Key Details: Level 2 Part-Time Days/Nights rotation $55-$60/hr, depending on experience The Level 2 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a crucial role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule with both day and night shifts, requiring strong clinical skills, the ability to manage high-acuity cases, and effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary emergency team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to patients suffering from a range of emergency conditions. Perform rapid assessments and triage; continuously monitor patient conditions. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and execute emergency procedures as directed. Quickly identify and respond to changes in patient health status. Engage in trauma responses and assist in various emergency medical situations. Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedures for discharge. Keep thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Adhere to safety, quality, and infection control standards set by the hospital. Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other team members. Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous Level 2 RN experience demonstrating competency in an Emergency Department. Prior experience in an Emergency Department is preferred. BLS certification is required. Excellent critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills. Schedule & Work Requirements: Part-Time: 2 x 12-hour shifts per week. Days/Nights rotation with every other weekend required.
