Your role and responsibilities We are seeking a talented Senior Principal Functional Consultant specializing in Oracle Cloud Financials (GL/AR). This is a full-time opportunity with the flexibility to work from various locations across the United States and travel as needed to meet client demands. What you'll do: Lead functional tracks on Oracle Cloud ERP projects, contributing to our commitment to excellence. Provide in-depth expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials, including but not limited to GL, AP, AR, Tax, Collections, Expenses, FA, and CM modules. Utilize your understanding of Chart of Accounts to lead re-designs, assess financial reporting requirements, and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Apply robust accounting knowledge to drive solutions based on established accounting principles for financial modules. Ensure timely completion of project tasks and deliverables, maintaining high-quality standards in all written communication. Engage clients by facilitating workshops to clearly define business requirements and expectations. Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between delivered functionality and client requirements, offering practical solutions for Cloud Financials modules. Document gaps, issues, and solution process flows to contribute to project transparency and effectiveness. Map client business processes to Oracle Cloud Applications, ensuring seamless integration. Configure modules in alignment with customer business needs, fostering optimal performance. Support data migration from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud Applications. Prepare functional designs for technical objects, contributing to project completeness. Develop comprehensive testing scenarios and scripts to ensure thorough validation. Lead testing activities, such as unit, integration, and acceptance testing, coordinating all elements to ensure accurate results. Facilitate knowledge transfer among team members and stakeholders to enhance collective skills. Required technical and professional expertise Demonstrated expertise in core Oracle Cloud ERP Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Expenses, Tax, Collections, FA & CM). Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. Proven leadership experience in implementing Oracle Cloud Applications. A minimum of 5 years of ERP implementation experience. Completion of at least 2 full-cycle implementations of Oracle Cloud Applications as a Module Lead. Experience in business process consulting, requirements gathering, facilitating workshops, system integration testing, user training, and production rollouts. Familiarity with budgetary controls and encumbrance accounting is a plus. Exposure to Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Project Portfolio Management applications is beneficial. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Capacity to work independently with initiative and willingness to assist others. Exceptional verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude towards adapting to new projects and challenges. 4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
