Primary Purpose: Your role will focus on analyzing and adjudicating complex general and auto liability claims. You will work on high-exposure cases, often involving litigation and rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with service expectations and client requirements. Come ready to identify subrogation opportunities and negotiate settlements efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and resolve challenging general and auto liability claims by thorough investigation and action planning. Assess liability and determine the appropriate resolution strategies. Negotiate settlements within your authority level. Calculate and manage claim reserves effectively throughout the claims lifecycle. Ensure timely and accurate claim payments, adjustments, and settlements. Prepare necessary state filings in accordance with statutory limits. Oversee the litigation process to ensure cost-effective and timely resolutions. Collaborate with external vendors for additional investigation and litigation management. Implement cost containment strategies to minimize overall claim expenses. Manage claim recoveries through subrogation and various offsets. Maintain professional communication with claimants and clients throughout the process. Keep claim files meticulously documented and accurately coded. Refer complex cases to supervisors as necessary. Qualifications: Education & Licensing: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Relevant professional certifications are also welcomed. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in General Liability claims management or equivalent experience is required. Skills & Knowledge: Expertise in insurance principles and related laws, recovery processes, and cost containment strategies. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Exceptional analytical and interpretive capabilities. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation abilities.
