Company: enGen Job Description: Overview: Join enGen as the Director of Data Governance and Services Strategy, a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape. This position is essential for establishing data governance frameworks, overseeing data warehousing, and driving effective data management practices across the organization. Your leadership will promote collaboration among business area Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) while fostering a culture that embraces data as a key organizational asset. Key Responsibilities: Lead departmental operations, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. Develop and implement policies aimed at enhancing departmental effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to, delivering projects on scope and within financial limits. Design, develop, and maintain a robust data warehouse/big data platform that meets the needs of the organization's diverse stakeholders. Manage project priorities effectively, collaborating with senior management to address competing interests. Serve as an advocate for data governance, championing a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. Establish clear service level agreements to meet end-user and external stakeholder expectations. Enhance the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)/Big Data platforms to ensure alignment with customer needs. Coordinate all data extracts for internal and external stakeholders. Perform additional duties as required. Education Requirements: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Science, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience. Preferred: Master's Degree in Business, Information Science, or a related field. Experience Requirements: Minimum: 10 years in information technology within a data warehouse context, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Experience in strategic planning and product road mapping with the capability to convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences. Proven track record of connecting business and technical teams effectively. Skills Necessary: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Extensive project management experience with demonstrated leadership qualities. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Capacity to drive process improvement initiatives. Deep understanding of business needs coupled with relationship management capabilities. Aptitude for building trust and confidence with clients. Licenses and Certifications: Required: None. Preferred: PMP certification. Travel Requirements: 0 - 25% Work Environment: This role is office-based, requiring frequent communication and interaction within the workplace. Duties include data analysis, problem-solving, multitasking, and meeting deadlines. Regular attendance and adherence to workplace policies are essential, with the potential for after-hours commitments. Employees will handle confidential customer information and must adhere to HIPAA and company privacy policies. Compensation: Pay Range Minimum: $126,400.00; Pay Range Maximum: $236,000.00.
