The Billing Specialist II is responsible for managing and processing billing transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This mid-level role involves handling complex invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have prior billing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to enhance billing processes. Key Responsibilities: Billing & Invoice Processing: Generate, review, and process invoices accurately and on time. Verify billing data for accuracy, including pricing, discounts, and taxes. Ensure all billing transactions comply with contracts and company policies. Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform reconciliations of accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies. Maintain detailed and accurate billing records in financial systems. Assist in preparing reports on billing trends, outstanding balances, and revenue tracking. Customer & Internal Support: Respond to and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes. Collaborate with internal teams (finance, sales, customer service) to address billing issues. Assist in collections efforts by providing accurate billing documentation. Process Improvement & Compliance: Identify areas for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiency measures. Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax laws. Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve billing workflows. Qualifications: Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), MS Excel, and billing software. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Other:Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling complex billing scenarios or high-volume transactions. Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and contract-based billing. Exposure to automated billing systems and digital invoicing solutions.
