As a Rehabilitation Services Director, you will ensure that all therapists provide exceptional care to patients and maintain compliance with licensing requirements. Your responsibilities will include reviewing individual patient reports and monitoring their rehabilitation progress. You will also be involved in developing and implementing innovative rehab programs tailored to the facility's clientele. This role requires a degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy and substantial rehabilitation field experience, including demonstrated managerial skills. You will lead the effort in communicating the rehab goals effectively to your team and may need to provide hands-on support to patients when necessary. The daily routine typically involves office hours with a balance of desk work and engaging with patients to evaluate their progress for discharge readiness. Regular follow-ups and meetings with patients will be essential to help track their rehabilitation journey.
