Application Deadline: Mar 3, 2026 AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of the global infrastructure that keeps AWS cloud services running smoothly. Our dedicated team supports all data centers, ensuring that servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems are optimized for maximum reliability. We tackle complex challenges impacted by numerous variables in the supply chain and are seeking talented individuals eager to contribute to our mission. We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Operations team focused on expanding Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions. As our dedicated cloud regions grow, we need proactive builders to help scale network systems to meet customer demands. Your role will involve ensuring the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks, along with automating and optimizing operations. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Communicating project status and any blockers to leadership and project management. Conducting device build and cabling validation activities. Managing cabling vendor activities and ensuring quality assurance. Supporting Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled maintenance windows, including the configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Responding to customer requests via the Remedy trouble ticketing system. Troubleshooting networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including low-level application interactions, and providing simple and sustainable solutions. Managing work priorities through the ticketing system and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve project obstacles. Traveling within the geographical work area is required; this may include up to 40% travel outside your usual location, including potential international travel. A Day in Your Role: You will spend your day attending meetings, executing change management in the data center, deploying hardware, connecting cabling, troubleshooting links, managing tickets, and collaborating with peers across AWS to innovate and improve our services for customers. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of vendor management experience. 4+ years of relevant experience in a data center or critical environment. 5+ years of experience in data center engineering or operations. 5+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in construction or project management. Possession of an Electrical or Mechanical Journeyman License. Operating engineering licenses such as DC II or DC III, or equivalent.
