Vice President of Electric Utility Operations About the Company A leading global electric utility company Industry Utilities Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Electric Utility Operations to spearhead our strategic energy initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will lead an enterprise-wide energy team dedicated to integrating innovative transmission solutions that cater to the demand of large-scale data center developments. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a dynamic team, collaborating with various internal departments, and working closely with external stakeholders such as utilities, RTO/ISOs, and regulators. You will tackle transmission challenges while ensuring the necessary infrastructure is in place to facilitate hyperscale growth. As the VP, you will effectively manage budgets, direct consultants, and prepare comprehensive reports on risks, opportunities, and capital planning for senior executives and the Board. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Power Systems, with an advanced degree or MBA being a strong plus. We require a minimum of 15 years of experience in electric power transmission or energy, emphasizing leadership and managing multi-region portfolios. Expertise in power flow modeling and interconnection processes is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to navigate transmission and interconnection challenges with external parties. The successful candidate will exhibit exemplary financial and strategic acumen, exceptional leadership qualities, and the capability to communicate complex technical subjects clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
