Job description Seeking a Journeymen Mechanic to join our DC Team! This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, boilers, compressors, conveyors, and other equipment used in a laundry setting. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Major Job Responsibilities: Required to troubleshoot, install minor equipment, analyze and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults. Able to order parts by cross-referencing to local vendors. Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment. May be needed to assist in major project work. Safety metrics is to be of the highest priority. Perform other duties as required. Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to keep laundry equipment running at an optimal level. Maintain and adhere to FMX and its methods of maintaining the machines in the plant. Perform the required PMs as described in FMX Add additional insight or ideas as to the daily upkeep or running of the equipment in the facility. Assist other members of the team in any aspects of the department, (electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, or general maintenance) to help the team grow into a better workforce. QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Two years or more of industry experience or similar. Bachelor's degree in engineering highly desirable but not required. Strong communication skills, proactive, team player, problem solver. Strong work ethic, highly independent and goal oriented. Safety metrics is to be the highest priority. Flexible schedule including days/nights, weekends, and holidays. Computer / Technical Skills / Job Specific Skills: Computer literate. Basic to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft 365. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective written and verbal communication skills. Motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
