Location: SSM Health Saint Louis University West Pavilion As the Lead Registered Nurse for the Bone Marrow Transplant Outpatient Infusion Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and guiding our dedicated nursing staff. Key Responsibilities: Monitor daily workflow and departmental metrics to ensure quality care and operational efficiency. Collaborate with department leadership in mentoring, training, and supporting staff to foster a skilled nursing team. Identify quality and performance concerns, proactively addressing them to enhance patient care. Contribute to staff evaluations by gathering peer feedback and assisting in performance reviews. Participate in training new hires, ensuring they understand and complete essential tasks and adhere to policies and procedures. Assist in staff scheduling, attendance management, and time-off requests to ensure optimal coverage. Engage in the development of training resources and procedural manuals for the team. Attend and lead regular staff meetings to promote communication and teamwork. Adhere to professional nursing standards and ethical guidelines in all actions. Ensure a safe and alert working environment while continuously meeting patient needs. Perform additional duties as necessary to support the clinic's operations. Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing school. A minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse. Physical Requirements: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to stand, walk, and participate in physical activities throughout the shift. Regularly engage in lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs, with occasional heavier loads. Visual and auditory acuity to perform essential nursing tasks. Licensure and Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state of practice.
