MRI Imaging Specialist

About the Position: Join the MedStar Health team as an MRI Imaging Specialist! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MRI Technologist who is registered and committed to providing high-quality imaging services. This is a PRN role, ideal for candidates who can work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and nights, particularly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The MRI Imaging Specialist will play a crucial role in patient care by operating magnetic resonance scanners and obtaining images needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Your Contribution: Archive raw data effectively to ensure optimal image quality. Develop films using automatic processors and guarantee the best diagnostic standards. Ensure patients are properly prepared for procedures. Transfer, position, and instruct patients throughout the scanning process to achieve the desired diagnostic outcomes as directed by physicians. Educate and demonstrate MRI equipment operation and techniques to staff and students. Report any equipment issues promptly and assist in repairs. Manage scheduling of MRI examinations to ensure efficient workflow. Operate the control console for each scan, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and manage patient data during the exam. Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in a related specialty (e.g., CT scan) ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Licensed by the State of Maryland or MR ARDMS or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance ARRT (MR) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from USD $35.68 to USD $58.48.
