Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/IR Technologist with at least 2 years of cath lab experience for a 13-week acute care contract requiring ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications. Responsibilities Acute care hospital setting in a combined Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) unit with 3 suites Common procedures include left and right heart catheterization (diagnostic and interventional), EP studies, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and IR procedures such as PICC line placements, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and pleurovacs Average of 8–10 cases per day EMR system: Meditech; GE MacLab hemodynamic system used 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Every other weekend (EOW) call required — two weekends per month, 24-hour call from 6:30 AM to 6:30 AM Evening call required 1–2 times per week after the day shift ends (approximately 5:00 PM); 30-minute response time required No floating required Holiday coverage required for one major and one minor holiday Orientation consists of 1 shift on the unit Scrubs are provided Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered Requirements Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required; IR experience preferred Active ARRT (R), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and Fluoroscopy certifications required — pending certifications not accepted Scrubbing experience required State or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Prior travel experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-675623.
