A healthcare role is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in NICU/PICU care within a well-regarded tertiary care and teaching hospital in Miami, FL. This position offers a contract opportunity to contribute expertise in a highly respected Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center equipped with a Level 3 NICU and recognized as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Responsibilities include providing advanced respiratory treatments, care, and evaluations for patients with respiratory diseases. You will utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell ventilators, Servos, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and standard nebulizers. The role requires documentation via Meditech and may involve supporting adult floors with therapies including nebulizer treatments, BIPAP, and chest physiotherapy. Key qualifications and desired experience include: Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Minimum of 2 years acute care hospital experience as an RRT Certification in BLS, NRP, and PALS (mandatory) Proven NICU/PICU respiratory care experience Prior use of Meditech electronic documentation system (preferred) Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Schedule and dress code: Contract assignment, with shifts in a dynamic NICU/PICU unit Required uniform: Light gray (Silver) This hospital supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
