Event Catering Specialist

Description Position Overview Join our dynamic catering team as an Event Catering Specialist! We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy engaging with guests and providing top-notch service at various events, this role is for you. The Event Catering Specialist will be responsible for preparing, transporting, setting up, and managing food booths at diverse events including food truck gatherings, festivals, weddings, and college sporting events. Key Responsibilities Event Prep & Packing Gather and organize all prepared food at the store each morning. Pack food into containers like coolers and hot boxes to ensure quality. Conduct an inventory check of food and supplies before departing. Load all necessary supplies and food into your personal vehicle for transport. On-Site Event Operations Set up the catering booth or food station according to event guidelines. Serve food to customers with professionalism and efficiency. Operate cash register and/or point-of-sale system for sales and online orders. Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to food safety standards. Event Breakdown & Return Efficiently pack up remaining food, equipment, and supplies after the event. Return all items to the store, restocking and organizing as necessary. Perform a post-event inventory check. Reconcile cash, POS, and inventory reports with management. Qualifications Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle (necessary for transporting food and supplies). Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and loading food and equipment. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Prior experience in food service, catering, or customer service is preferred but not necessary. Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
