Join Our Team as a Thoracic Surgery Navigator! If you are passionate about patient care and seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference, we invite you to apply for the role of Registered Nurse - Thoracic Surgery Navigator. This position offers a rewarding career with a schedule of 32 hours per week, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend shifts. As a Nurse Navigator, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients identified through low-dose CT lung screenings with incidental nodule findings. Your expertise will help coordinate their initial and follow-up treatments in collaboration with healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between management, physicians, and community organizations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote quality outcomes and facilitate treatment processes. Track patient outcomes and suggest improvements for better service delivery. Provide support for follow-up care, especially for uninsured or underinsured patients. Utilize your nursing skills for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation at every patient encounter. Assist medical providers in processing diagnostic results, emphasizing their significance for patient care. Educate patients about their medications and treatment plans, including side effects and administration routes. Establish strong relationships with patients, ensuring effective education and support. Maintain alertness in a safe working environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. A minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse. Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate efficiently. Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving of patients and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Required use of vision, hearing, and physical dexterity consistently throughout the workday. Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association. Registered Nurse licensure appropriate to state regulations (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin).
