Maintenance Repair TechnicianLocations: Baton Rouge, Hammond, Covington, and Metairie (travel required) The Maples and The Genesis are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Repair Technician to support operations across multiple residential treatment facilities and office locations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Position Summary Our Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and equipment across five locations. This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Regular travel between assigned locations is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility systems to minimize downtime and operational disruptions. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff. Maintain facility infrastructure, including lighting, doors, fixtures, HVAC components, and general building systems. Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and team members to support operational goals. Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, building codes, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Travel between Baton Rouge, Hammond, Covington, and Metairie locations as needed. QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated experience in general facility maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different locations. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between sites. Preferred: Vocational training or certification in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing. Experience in residential, healthcare, or behavioral health settings. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift moderate weight as required to perform maintenance tasks. Manual dexterity and coordination necessary to operate tools and perform repairs safely.
