Your role and responsibilities As a Business Transformation Consultant focused on Warehouse & Logistics, you will spearhead comprehensive warehouse transformation initiatives utilizing Tier 1 WMS software. Your goal will be to modernize distribution operations, creating scalable and high-performance fulfillment networks. This role is pivotal in delivering improvements in service, cost, and productivity across the warehouse operating model—a blend of people, process, and technology. You will engage directly with client operations, IT, and executive stakeholders to translate business strategies into effective WMS-enabled warehouse execution capabilities, which includes supporting both greenfield and brownfield implementations, network redesign, and automation integration. This role can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. Required technical and professional expertise Tier 1 Design & Implementation: Over 4 years of hands-on experience with designing and implementing Tier 1 WMS software (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP), with skills in functional design, configuration strategy, testing support, and multisite deployment. Warehouse Transformation Delivery: Proven capability to lead distribution center transformation initiatives, managing projects from current-state assessments to developing future-state operating models and WMS-enabled execution. Warehouse Operations & Process Design: Deep understanding of distribution center workflows (receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns) with an ability to design scalable and effective warehouse operating models. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration skills, working alongside operations, IT, engineering, and leadership teams to align business objectives with warehouse execution capabilities for successful delivery. Process Improvement & Performance Optimization: Demonstrated success in enhancing productivity, reducing operating costs, improving inventory accuracy, and meeting fulfillment service-level agreements through structured warehouse process improvement. Change Enablement & Workshop Facilitation: Experience in leading workshops for process mapping, developing standard operating procedures, and promoting operational change adoption for new warehouse systems and methodologies. Preferred technical and professional experience Automation Integration Experience: Familiarity with automated material handling systems, including AMRs, AS/RS, goods-to-person, sortation, and conveyor systems integrated into Tier 1 WMS environments. Systems Integration Knowledge: Expertise in MAWM integrations with ERP (SAP/Oracle), TMS, parcel execution platforms, and control systems for material handling. Greenfield & Brownfield DC Implementations: Background in new facility startups, retrofitting, migrations, and multi-site Tier 1 WMS rollouts, including cutover planning and hyper-care stabilization. Warehouse Engineering Fundamentals: Knowledge of slotting strategy, layout optimization, capacity modeling, labor standards, and space utilization. Data-Driven Operations Analysis: Strong analytical skills in throughput modeling, labor analysis, and building operational key performance indicators. Program & Delivery Management: Experience managing complex warehouse transformation timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables in client-facing roles.
