Our Team Shift Supervisors receive development classes and have access to various levels of management and the leadership team for mentorship. Enhance your team-building abilities, problem-solving skills, and guest service expertise. Responsibilities/Duties: Guide crew members to prioritize business needs during shifts. Ensure the shift meets company standards for cleanliness, guest service, speed of service, and product quality. Assist in the training of crew members on policies and procedures, stressing the importance of food safety, crew/guest safety, product quality, and excellent guest service. Provide coaching and implement disciplinary actions with the support of the General Manager. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with the team to create an uplifting work environment. Report crew member matters to the General Manager, District Leader, Human Resources, etc. Complete administrative tasks, including cash handling, conducting product inventories, and reporting sales, speed of service, and inventory variances. Ensure compliance with state laws during shifts, including meal break timing and harassment prevention. Assist in ordering and receiving products from vendors. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold. High level of mobility and flexibility. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, grasp, wipe, and scoop. Qualification Standards: Must possess a ServSafe Certificate. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferably have a High School diploma or equivalent. Strong written and verbal English communication skills; a second language is a plus. Minimum of 6 months of experience as an El Pollo Loco crew member or at least 1 year of restaurant supervisory experience. Basic understanding of computer systems, such as email and internet use.
