Your Responsibilities: Lead an Engaged Team During Your Shift Inspire your team with a positive, can-do attitude Provide clear instructions and be hands-on in assisting with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling Coach and mentor team members in real-time, offering support throughout the shift Address guest concerns with empathy, escalating issues as necessary Enhance Operational Performance Train and guide your team to uphold RaceTrac’s standards for guest service, food safety, and cleanliness Oversee inventory management, vendor check-in, and promotional communications Manage critical store processes including write-offs, cash management, and compliance documentation Facilitate smooth communication during shift changes and ensure alignment across the team Encourage Effective Communication & Accountability Relay essential updates from the leadership team to shift members Monitor task completion and provide actionable feedback to achieve results Foster a team culture centered on accountability, respect, and collaboration Take a hands-on approach during busy periods or challenges, demonstrating exceptional leadership Qualifications: 2-3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in retail, restaurant, or food service) 1+ years of leadership experience preferred Adept in fast-paced, high-volume guest service environments Ability to follow through on tasks and effectively coach others Excellent communication and team-building skills Essential Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (completed or in progress) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary permits (e.g., food handlers, alcohol server) Join Our Growth Journey: At RaceTrac, our employees make the difference.
