Job Title: Director of Data & Technology in Clinical Operations Leadership Job Introduction: As the Director of Data & Technology in Clinical Operations, you will lead all technology and data functions that are essential to Parexel's Clinical Operations. This key position involves overseeing systems, integrations, data flows, and reporting readiness, aligning technology initiatives with operational goals. You will collaborate with various teams within Data & Technology, clinical leadership, and executive stakeholders across the business. Who We Seek: We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented leader with extensive experience in clinical operations technology and operational delivery in the life sciences sector. This role will shape and implement operational systems to enhance study startup, execution, monitoring, and closeout while driving performance, compliance, and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Operations Technology & Process Leadership: Take charge as the senior Data & Technology advocate for all supporting technologies, operational systems, workflows, and data pipelines. Ensure system reliability, user readiness, and operational excellence for global Clinical Operations teams. Align technology initiatives and process improvements with Clinical Operations objectives for efficiency and reduced cycle time. Integration of Clinical, Safety & Operational Data: Oversee the seamless integration of Clinical Operations systems within the broader Data & Technology landscape, including data lakes and reporting functionalities. Guarantee timely and accurate data flows across all operational technologies connected to clinical operations, safety, regulatory, and cross-functional processes. Clinical Systems Lifecycle Management: Manage the maintenance, validation, upgrades, and enhancements of Clinical Operations-related platforms. Ensure adherence to compliance, validation standards, and quality frameworks. Oversee the retirement, consolidation, and introduction of new capabilities according to enterprise standards. Cross-Functional Governance & Strategic Alignment: Represent Clinical Operations in enterprise governance forums, like Data Governance and Operational Excellence. Lead prioritization discussions for Clinical Operations technology requests in partnership with PMO/Portfolio teams. Ensure alignment of Clinical Operations initiatives with broader Data & Technology strategies and operational goals. Team Leadership & Organizational Development: Lead a global team of managers, business systems analysts, product owners, and engineers dedicated to supporting Clinical Operations. Create career development paths that align with operational, data, and system leadership requirements. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration across operations and technology teams. Skills Required: Strong executive leadership with influence across Clinical Operations, Safety, OEDI, Regulatory, and Technology sectors. In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, technology workflows, and operational KPIs. Expertise in clinical systems, workflow automation, and operational data management. Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and organizational design capabilities. Skilled in matrix leadership and cross-functional decision-making. Knowledge and Experience: Over 15 years of experience in technology and leadership roles within clinical operations in the life sciences field. Proven capability in directing operational systems that facilitate the execution and closeout of studies. Experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments. Comprehensive understanding of safety, regulatory, and operational data lifecycles. Experience with enterprise integration technologies, data lakes, and clinical reporting frameworks. Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Technology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
