We are excited to welcome a Vice President of Business Development with extensive experience in sales within the Large Pharma sector to spearhead our expansion efforts with our top clients. Position Overview: In this role, you will ensure that Cytel's vision and unique offerings are consistently conveyed through engaging interactions with potential customers and customized materials. You will lead our large pharma account teams, directing sales strategies across a diverse global landscape and pinpointing high-potential clients. Your Contributions Will Include: Leading Cytel's Global Large Pharma Sales team effectively. Actively supporting the team's efforts to prospect, develop, and close business with targeted clients. Creating and executing strategic account plans with defined goals and growth strategies for key accounts. Designing and implementing sales strategies for global business development initiatives. Collaborating with the commercial team to prepare and execute account plans. Identifying client needs and aligning Cytel's solutions to position us as the partner of choice. Leading the preparation of RFPs/RFIs, capability presentations, and other client-facing materials. Building and maintaining robust relationships with clients and internal teams. Engaging with key client stakeholders, from department heads to C-suite executives, while staying updated on industry trends. Representing Cytel at relevant industry conferences and events. What You'll Need to Succeed: A university degree; advanced degrees are preferred. Proven success in large pharma sales, particularly in clinical trial services within the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. Experience in managing global sales teams within a CRO environment. A record of exceeding sales quotas, specifically in large pharma, with a focus on developing new business. Expertise in managing the complete sales cycle, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in selling clinical trial delivery services. Strategic planning and execution experience in complex, global organizations. Strong collaboration skills, allowing effective work with commercial, operational, and leadership teams.
