About the Position: We are excited to offer a fantastic career opportunity as a Safety and Loss Prevention Associate at our newest Distribution Center in Brookshire, TX. This facility is in the early stages of opening, giving you a chance to grow right from the start! No prior experience in Loss Prevention or Security is required. General Purpose: The primary role of the Safety and Loss Prevention Associate (LPA) is to safeguard the associates and assets of Ross. The LPA will actively promote a Safety-first culture by enforcing safety and security processes while preventing accidents and injuries. This includes conducting safety audits and monitoring for hazards. As an LPA, you will: Respond to critical incidents, assess situations, and make first responder decisions. Monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and utilize tools and technology to reduce shrinkage. Uphold confidentiality while nurturing a positive team spirit and contributing to company morale. Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors regarding goals and job-related concerns. Essential Functions: Maintain Safe Environments. Develop Teams and Partnerships. Prepare for and Respond to Safety and Security Situations. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Strong command of English, both oral and written. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of diffusing conflict situations. Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Job requires standing, walking, and reaching throughout shifts. Additional training and certifications will be provided and must be completed within the first 90 days.
