Job Title: Customer Account Management Specialist Essential Job Functions: Build and maintain proactive relationships with assigned customer accounts, addressing issues and concerns promptly while providing innovative solutions. Identify applicable accessorial charges for billing and streamline processes to minimize disputes, assist in collections, and collaborate with Account Managers to reduce additional charges. Oversee order acceptance, maintenance, and accessorial management using email communication and various Hub Group transportation management systems. Evaluate internal and external account metrics to propose alternative transportation solutions as needed. Manage customer accounts to ensure optimal product delivery at competitive prices while maximizing margin, network efficiency, and On-Time Performance (OTP). Engage with shipper and consignee contacts to communicate exception notifications and resolve issues effectively. Enhance profitability while minimizing customer cost exposure by partnering with Operations to manage assets like container pools efficiently. Ensure high-quality service by monitoring performance standards and advising management of potential issues. Collaborate with Account Management and Operations teams to address and resolve any specific load concerns in a timely manner. Please note that duties and responsibilities may evolve over time. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management is preferred. Experience in the transportation industry is a plus. Familiarity with EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, and other electronic communication methods is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Must be available to work on a weekend rotation when scheduled.
