We are looking for a proactive Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the evening shift who is eager to make a significant impact in a vibrant manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Identify and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime, ensuring smooth operations. Evaluate, order, and maintain essential tools and fixtures that enhance safety and efficiency on the production floor. Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and actively promote continuous improvement efforts within the team. Assist with product launches and process development, providing recommendations for improvements and upholding industry standards. Support the creation of product bills, routings, and supplementary documentation to streamline manufacturing processes. Accurately estimate costs for materials and labor associated with manufacturing projects. Assess product complexity and determine the most suitable manufacturing processes to optimize production. Collaborate with multi-functional teams on capital planning and acquisition projects to align resources effectively. Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D required; a 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, showcasing your hands-on skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for overcoming challenges. A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven adaptability to changing business circumstances in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in or willingness to learn software programs such as Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, and SolidWorks. Able to detail processes in a work instruction format to ensure clarity for all staff. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects is highly valued.
