About the Role: As a key leader on Confluent's corporate finance team, reporting directly to the Director of Corporate FP&A, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate financial forecasting, focusing on P&L, headcount, and cash flow. Your insights will be crucial for informed financial decision-making, and you will regularly update and enhance a complex forecasting model, while synthesizing cash flow trends for high-stakes presentations at executive and board meetings. Collaboration across Treasury, Accounting, and Operations teams will be critical. What You Will Do: Manage forecasts proactively, analyzing variances, uncovering insights, and communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. Present findings and analyses to key finance leaders, including the CFO, SVP of Finance, and VP of Corporate FP&A. Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to evaluate past and projected expenditures and profitability. Build strong cross-functional relationships to improve forecast accuracy and processes while rigorously assessing business performance. Deliver high-quality quantitative and qualitative analyses with precision and clarity. What You Will Bring: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of financial experience within a SaaS company, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or similar environments. Strong expertise in financial analysis and model construction. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides. What Gives You an Edge: Experience thriving in fast-paced environments. Strategic insight into profitability drivers.
