A Day in the Life: As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you will be empowered by an expert team ready to provide you with comprehensive tax training and support. Enjoy the flexibility, freedom, and potential for extra earnings that come with this role. Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients in person or through virtual tools—video, phone, chat, and email. Prepare accurate and complete tax returns, ensuring compliance and maximizing client benefits. Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and providing additional products and services. Offer clients support and guidance on IRS-related queries. Contribute to the team’s success through collaboration and active participation in office priorities. Develop your tax knowledge and expertise continually. We’re Looking For: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field would be a plus. Experience in customer service or retail settings. A track record of thriving in fast-paced, supportive environments. A commitment to working a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly during the tax season, increasing to 40 hours during peak periods. Your Skills: Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course. Experience working efficiently in dynamic environments. Familiarity with virtual communication tools—video, phone, and chat. Strong communication abilities, whether in person, on the phone, or in writing. Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred. Why Choose H&R Block?
