Position Overview: Join our culinary team as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, where you'll work closely with the Executive Chef to cultivate a dynamic kitchen environment. In this pivotal role, you’ll help train and support kitchen staff, provide essential coaching, and ensure everyone is performing at their best. Your expertise in butchering and portion control will enhance the quality and efficiency of our kitchen operations. You will also engage in crucial administrative responsibilities including scheduling, staffing, ordering, and inventory management. What we expect of you: Support the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations. Oversee the back of house team and ensure production meets our quality standards. Train and direct kitchen staff, providing hands-on coaching and constructive feedback. Manage food purchasing including produce, seafood, and main food items effectively. Conduct bi-weekly inventory in collaboration with your team. Be responsible for scheduling back of house staff efficiently. Participate in team recruitment, focusing on sourcing top talent to achieve our staffing goals. Supervise and engage in butchering and portion control activities during shifts. Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant in a managerial capacity. A passion for the culinary industry and commitment to delivering excellent service. Strong communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration. The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Driven, motivated, and self-disciplined with a professional appearance. Experience with butchering is preferred. Familiarity with scratch kitchen operations is a plus.
