KPMG is currently seeking a Health Actuary Senior Manager to become a vital part of our Audit practice. Responsibilities: Contribute to a dynamic team providing strategic, analytical, and technical support to our payer and provider clients. Support client strategies to enhance market share, optimize margins, and achieve cost savings. Exhibit critical thinking skills to effectively resolve complex, unstructured problems. Develop, execute, and review analytics and deliverables for both KPMG and our clients. Create and manage data applications that aid actuarial functions, including modeling and advanced analytics. Act as a liaison between clients and senior management, supervising and mentoring associates and interns. Communicate technical topics to clients and management, contributing to project planning and technical writing. Qualifications: A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the health payer/provider sector, focusing on projects related to financial reporting, underwriting, pricing, data analytics, and risk adjustment. Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, financial analysis, insurance, or mathematics from an accredited institution. Consistent progress towards certification as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel as required by client needs. A strong understanding of business dynamics and operations, with supervisory experience preferred. A proven track record in automating and digitizing processes, including: Analyzing medical claim data for trend analysis and cost-saving opportunities. Developing analytics to identify value sources in medical costs and risk adjustment. Evaluating financial statements to enhance reporting quality. Conducting IBNR reserve analyses as part of actuarial evaluations for insurance financial audits. Researching industry trends to generate insights for proposals. Working with large datasets to create models and utilize data visualization tools for client insights. Additional Manager Qualifications: A minimum of five years of recent experience in the health payer/provider sector, focusing on financial reporting, pricing, underwriting, data analytics, and risk adjustment.
