Interior Creative Designer

Base Pay This role offers a minimum base pay starting at $15.24 per hour, with potential for higher starting pay based on your experience. Purpose: As an Interior Creative Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive design consultations from initial concept to final execution. You will cultivate strong relationships with our clients, understand their project needs, offer knowledgeable advice on design concepts, and ensure that their vision is realized within their personal style and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements At least one year of experience in interior design or retail/sales. A degree in Design is preferred. Knowledge of hard surface flooring is an asset. Strong mathematical skills are essential. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office. Current employees must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant role. Essential Functions Greet customers warmly and assist with their design inquiries. Schedule design appointments and nurture customer relationships through networking and referrals. Offer expert guidance on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for both residential and commercial projects. Create and sell innovative and visually appealing design solutions. Oversee multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and clear communication throughout each phase. Collaborate with store leadership and staff to manage projects from the initial inquiry to installation while achieving sales targets. Support and promote company goals and initiatives by demonstrating best practices. Stay updated on current and emerging design trends to enhance your expertise. Utilize design applications effectively, including Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools. Perform additional duties as assigned. Working Conditions Limited travel may be required by car. This position often involves working in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles and varying noise levels. Physical/Sensory Requirements This role requires medium work, including the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently. Regularly lifting or moving objects is necessary, along with standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching as required.
