Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Columbus, Ohio Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift - 3×12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), weekends required, floating possible Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements Responsibilities: Provide respiratory care and therapy for adult and geriatric patients in critical care, emergency, and acute care settings. Perform airway management, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care. Initiate, manage, and monitor oxygen therapy and ventilator support including CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation. Assist with ventilator weaning and troubleshoot ventilator alarms. Administer respiratory medications and aerosol therapies using appropriate delivery systems. Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across units including Med/Surg, PCU, and critical care. Float between units or campuses as needed to support patient care. Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience. Active RRT credential. Valid state respiratory therapy license. BLS certification required. Experience in adult critical care and emergency care environments. Competency in ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy. Preferred Qualifications: ACLS and CRT certifications. HonorVet Technologies Job ID #31914465.
