Life in Research and Development (R&D): In R&D, your skills will play a crucial role in bringing our brands to life. Collaborate with a talented team of scientists, engineers, and nutrition experts, engaging in product design, development, quality assurance, and safety to deliver consistently delightful consumer experiences. R&D is where your great ideas bloom into brilliant brands. Internships in R&D may include: Research: Work on technology projects aimed at enhancing current products or exploring new food concepts. Product Development: Focus on formulation to create or improve product offerings. Process Development: Develop methods for transforming raw materials into final products and drive continuous improvement. Data & Digital: Tackle business problems through data analysis, sensor development, and machine learning methods. We seek qualified candidates who are passionate about the food industry and eager to grow their problem-solving and analytical skills in a real R&D setting. Qualifications: Pursuing a BS at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in fields such as Philosophy, Consumer Science, Computer Science, Food Science, Psychology, and related fields. Problem-Solving abilities. Time Management skills. Drive for Results. Strong Functional/Technical Skills. Interpersonal Savvy. You should be willing to travel if required. Throughout the internship, you will plan and execute projects on various scales, potentially involving hands-on work in FutureLab, UIUC facilities, or Mondelez locations. Requirements: Must be a full-time enrolled student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for the duration of the internship. Expected to graduate May 2027 or later. This role starts Spring 2026, requiring 10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity for Summer 2026 extension based on performance. Mondel z FutureLab Mondel z International's FutureLab will spearhead innovation and virtual initiatives in our company. Internships will be offered during the academic year (part-time) and summer (full-time). Positions are available with flexible hours ranging from 10 to 37.5 hours per week, compensating interns with a competitive hourly rate. Locations are based in Champaign, Illinois.
