Municipal Project Manager

Position Description Municipal Project Manager - Fargo, ND Are you a driven civil engineer with a passion for shaping communities through impactful infrastructure design? AE2S is looking for an entrepreneurial Municipal Project Manager to lead and grow our municipal services. In this role, you'll work closely with municipal clients to develop and lead projects from concept to completion, managing both technical execution and client engagement. Projects are anticipated to be focused on site development, underground utilities (water, wastewater, storm infrastructure), and grading/paving. Your leadership as the Municipal Project Manager will help cultivate a team of engineers and designers while delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions for municipalities, developers, and public agencies. Responsibilities Provide professional services for municipal civil engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors. Client management activities including maintaining and enhancing existing and pursued client relationships and identifying, evaluating, and leading project opportunities. Manage multi-disciplinary staff resources and sub-consultants to deliver high quality projects tailored to the requests of the client. Develop and maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments. Coordinate, facilitate, and lead internal and external meetings. Provide quality control and assurance as part of AE2S' overall municipal practice. Qualifications Basic Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months. 6+ years of experience in civil engineering. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development. 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a project engineer for municipal clients. Preferred Master degree in civil engineering or related field. 2+ years demonstrated of experience as a municipal client manager. Proficient with Civil 3D. Ability to lead both internal initiatives and external projects. Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Registration as a Professional Engineer in North Dakota or ability to obtain within 6 months. Physical Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
