Apply NowJob Description
We're assisting an amazing healthech startup with their search for fullstack engineers. They are revolutionizing cancer treatment through artificial intelligence. This role will work onsite in their SF office, and they're hiring multiple engineers in this capacity. Some of the challenges you'll tackle:Orchestrate multi-agent workflows - design planner-executor-critic agents that coordinate retrieval, tool calls and safety guards to deliver end-to-end oncology insights. Own post-training of frontier LLMs - Reinforcement Learning, LoRA/PEFT finetuning, RLHF & RLAIF on the latest checkpoints injecting high-value oncology expertise. Build reward models for oncology quality & safety. Prototype temporality-aware medical embeddings - time-encoded patient representations for longitudinal reasoning. Grow the data moat: Curate & generate data: extend our proprietary medical corpus and orchestrate synthetic-case pipelines with external partners. Expand and integrate the evaluation harness - thousands of synthetic patient vignettes, adversarial probes and offline-policy metrics to surface failure modes before production. Build tool-augmented reasoning - weave deterministic calculators and perception models directly into the chain-of-thought. Engineer retrieval & verification scaffolds - RAG/KAG modules to ground responses; a verifier agent checks factual accuracy, policy compliance and consistency. What you'll bring:2+ years of fullstack development experience building products from 0-1 Experience at an early-stage startup CS or Technical degree Experience with Python/Django, Typescript and React AWS/GCP basics, CI/CD, observability, can integrate retrieval/safety filters/monitoring into deployable services Nice to haves:Experience training, finetuning and aligning large-scale transformer models in production. Hands-on with RL or RLHF/RLAIF, LoRA/PEFT, DeepSpeed or FSDP, distributed data pipelines, and evaluation harnesses. Prior healthcare, HIPAA/SOC-2 experience, or agents experience
