Department: Laboratory - Anatomic Pathology? Salary Range: $16.22 - $23.18/ hour based on verified education and experience? About the RoleWe"re looking for a dedicated Pathology Support Specialist II t to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you"ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Receives and records documentation for distribution of CAP and Proficiency Testing Program materials to appropriate pathology and clinical laboratory departments. Organize slides and agendas for Tumor Board meetings scheduled bi-weekly. Assists in additional responsibilities as assigned by Medical Director, Pathologists, Administrative Director, and Anatomic Pathology Manager. Assists patients with billing concerns and directs them to the appropriate resources. Maintain case files of digital pathology images and implement upon approval of Medical Director. Establish employee files for all new hires. File employee documents and maintain confidentiality of information in records. Perform file audits as directed. Plan menus and order catering for events. Participates in training and orientation of staff. Transcribes dictation from pathologists upon request ? What You Bring High school diploma, GED required 2 years of Medical Secretarial, Phlebotomy, or Patient Access experience in a Healthcare setting required Associates Degree preferred Medical Terminology education preferred Required Skills, Abilities and Attributes: Understanding of anatomy and physiology. Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while utilizing critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job. Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive. Excellent customer service skills and must display integrity, friendliness and compassion. Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with patients, co-workers and medical staff. Must be able to demonstrate effective and appropriate written and oral communication skills. Ability to take and follow direction in a positive and appropriate manner. Must be flexible Takes initiative and embraces new opportunities to grow both personally and organizationally. Must be efficient and effective in the use of resources. Basic computer skills. Proficient in Meditech, Microsoft Office, electronic file storage and retrieval, and change/version tracking. Travel to client sites. ?
