CISE Reading Education (Faculty Wage)

The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education to teach and provide content expertise in reading education. Opportunities may be on grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia or online during the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027 semesters. Graduate-level course instructors require a terminal degree (PhD; EdD) in Education specializing in reading education or a related field. Undergraduate course instructors require a master's degree or terminal degree specializing in reading education or a related field. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Previous preK-12 and post-secondary education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred. Your cover letter must detail your specific content area expertise and experience within reading education. Additionally, please note your availability for in-person and/or online teaching modalities. These available at-will positions for teaching a single course do not carry benefits.
