Title: Peer Support Specialist Location: Kentucky River Community Care/ Breathitt County; Substance Use Disorder Program Employment type: Full-Time Education: High School or GED Primary Duties: Serve as an active member of the client's treatment team, including participation in team meetings and treatment planning meetings. Implement and coordinate recovery plans for individual clients in assigned population group, including evaluation, consultation, education, and follow-up services. Serve as role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. Provide advocacy services on behalf of clients. Inform supervisor and other members of treatment team, as indicated, of issues/concerns related to individual clients. Shift/Days and Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Funding Source for Position: Funded in part or in whole from Federal, CHFS, and or other State funds.
