(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Medical Technologist - Histology - This hospital laboratory is CAP accredited and offers specialized testing, lab automation, and state of the art equipment Job Description - Full-time, EVENING SHIFT, M-F, rotating on call with other techs - The Histotechnologist, under general supervision, is responsible for preparing microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes, performing diagnostic tests, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, providing instruction and is a resource to others. Incumbents must possess a working knowledge and theory of histologic techniques Immunohistochemistry and Special Stain techniques and histology automation; must also have an excellent knowledge of the AP LIS system Qualifications: - Experience with embedding, cutting, IHC and SS staining - ASCP HT or HLT certified (or gaining within one year of hire) - Cerner CoPath experience is a plus but not required.
