DescriptionPosition Summary: Forest Park Forever seeks a strong strategic leader to further its focus on strengthening leadership annual giving and securing major and planned gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. This role is also responsible for soliciting philanthropic gifts and will supervise development professionals. This role will develop strategies, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for major gift prospects and donors. Forest Park Forever offers a full suite of benefits, including: Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) with a company match PTO and Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Program Functions of the Job: Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and recognize major donors. Build and maintain a portfolio of 100-150 major gift prospects and lead the solicitation process. Oversee and enhance the Planned Giving Program. Work with the Development Team, Development Committee, and Board to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects. Educate and engage potential donors about the benefits of planned giving, working closely with legal and financial advisors to facilitate complex gifts. Develop customized stewardship plans to ensure donors remain engaged and feel appreciated. Track and report relationship-management activity using Raiser's Edge. Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources. Forge and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and FPF staff. Lead and manage development professionals providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development. Meet with current and prospective donors in various locations in Forest Park, off site and occasionally at private residences. RequirementsPosition Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree or higher. Equivalent job experience will be considered. Minimum of five to seven years of related experience, including supervisory experience. Proven success in major gift and planned giving fundraising. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with fundraising platforms/programs. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong understanding of tax and estate planning, including knowledge of planned giving vehicles. Ability to build relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds. Licenses: Valid Drivers License Physical Work Conditions: Constantly operates computers and other office equipment. Frequently works in an indoor office environment. Occasionally required to traverse the park over uneven terrain during events. Occasionally lifts and moves materials up to 40 pounds. Equal Opportunity Employer
