If you're looking for meaningful work, a strong sense of purpose, and a place where your contributions truly matter, we invite you to consider joining us.GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONResponsible for testing, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of AECC power plant systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates required seasonal and annual testing programs for AECC power plant performance relating to heat rate, capability and availability. Conducts performance evaluations and tests on power plant equipment and systems and analyzes data to identify performance trends, inefficiencies, and potential issues. Monitors the performance of power plant systems and equipment using advanced diagnostic tools and software. Performs calculations including heat rate, evaporative cooler effectiveness, condenser cleanliness, and efficiencies in cooling towers, turbines, and HRSGs. Develops and implements strategies to optimize power plant performance and efficiency. Collaborates with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues. Develops and manages engineering projects that target performance improvement opportunities at AECC power plants. Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for power plant operations. Provides technical expertise and recommendations for performance improvements. Ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Prepares detailed reports and documentation on performance analysis and improvement initiatives. Stays updated on industry trends and advancements in power plant technology. Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job. Performs any other related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Engineer I- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering plus 0-2 years of related experience and/or training. Engineer II- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering plus 2-4 years of related experience and/or training. Engineer III- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering plus 4-7 years of related experience and/or training. Sr Engineer- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering plus 8 years of related experience and/or training. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must meet eligibility requirements to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination Valid driver's license PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSProfessional Engineer license in the State of ArkansasENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSSomewhat disagreeable working conditions.
