Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:RN - Stepdown Job Details:• Work in Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually• Provide care for patients with procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers• Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies• Participate in national clinical trials managed by NISUS research department• Work every other weekend schedule• Possible on-call responsibilities• Must be willing to float to similar units• 1+ year of stepdown experience required• Proficiency in cardiac care required• Travel experience required• EKG comfortability required• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required• Strict 3 strike attendance policy - termination for 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions Facility:This healthcare organization operates a distinguished Cardiovascular Unit that has received a Silver level Beacon Award and was redesigned by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
