Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: Morristown, NJ 07960 Duration: 3 + Months Contract (Possibilities of Extension) Shift: Day shift - 7 days on/7 days off (varied start time ranging from any time of 7 am - 10 am) Ex: 7 am - 3 pm, 8 am - 4 pm, 9 am - 5 pm, 10 am - 6 pm.Pay Rate: $24/hr. on W2Duties: Prepares extemporaneous preparations accurately. Legibly signs all paperwork associated with these processes. Handles requests via phone, window, fax, and computer in a professional and timely manner. Prepares IVs aseptically and in a timely manner promoting efficiency and cost effectiveness. Assures all products are bar-coded. Places ancillary labels on specified products when necessary. Checks expirations on all medications, pulls outdated products and places in a segregated area to be returned/destroyed. Requirements: Previous hospital pharmacy experience (2+ years) preferred. Mixing Chemotherapy experience is a plus High School diploma or equivalent. Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) - preferred Current active registration with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy - required.
