This position helps implement the marketing and business development strategy and initiatives, including marketing communication plans and prospect/client targeting in support of the firm's Transactional Practice Groups including Global Finance, Corporate and Securities and Financial Services. We offer a flexible hybrid work environment. Professionals work in person Monday-Thursday, with Friday as a remote day. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Acts as primary marketing resource for several firm practice areas and provides senior level support to managers and group director for other key practice groups. Assembles pitches and presentations and handles related tracking of activities with minimal supervision. Provides hands-on support to selected firm wide initiatives, including cross-practice group and global efforts. Coordinates selected conferences, seminars, webinars, events and sponsorships, including arranging logistics, invitations, materials, and hospitality; assists with follow-up activities. Assists with, and in some cases, leads legal directory submissions, including assisting partners with pre-interview preparation process and participating in interviews in selected instances. Drafts and manages client communications, including legal updates and announcements. Updates and maintains practice group descriptions and website content. Manages credential and bio updates. Maintains Opportunities tool to reflect current practice group and individual client development activities, including maintaining data in CRM reporting system. Assists with managing content and matter experience in Dechert's matter management database (Foundation). Conducts various research projects used for business development efforts, including company and industry research, pursuit lists, and competitive intelligence. Trains and provides guidance to new and junior business development team members. Oversees creation and production of recurring internal and external newsletters for respective practice groups. Completes other assignments and projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or English. 2+ years of experience in a marketing role. Law firm experience a plus. Strong and effective communication, writing and proofreading skills. Highly motivated and proactive, with good interpersonal skills; polite, professional, positive manner. Ability to function in a collaborative organization and work autonomously. Proficient with Microsoft office; InterAction is a plus. Detail-oriented and organized. Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and coordinate own work. Understanding of the marketing functions, needs and expectations of attorneys and clients. Experience using CRM, Vuture, Canva, Monday.com and/or Adobe Experience Manager a plus. Experience with market research and analytics are a plus. Experience in digital marketing (email, Social Media) as part of a larger campaign a plus.
