Primary Job Title: President and CEO Alternate/Related Job Titles: Chief Executive Officer Executive Director Nonprofit Chief Executive President & Chief Executive Officer Organizational Executive Leader Location: Philadelphia, PA Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Job Details (Direct Hire only): Position Type: Direct Hire Start: As Soon As Possible Pay / Salary: $175,000 - 200,000/year Job Summary: Client is seeking a visionary and mission-driven President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next chapter of impact and growth. The President & CEO holds ultimate responsibility for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and advancing the mission of serving the community with compassion, innovation, and accountability. This role provides executive leadership over staff, programs, and resource development while cultivating strong external partnerships to expand organizational reach and sustainability. The President & CEO will guide fundraising efforts, strengthen core programs, and drive business planning to ensure continued leadership in health equity and social services. Key Responsibilities:Board Governance Lead the organization in alignment with the mission as defined by the Board of Directors Communicate effectively with the Board, providing timely and accurate information for decision-making Develop and maintain a strong Board of Directors; serve as an ex-officio member of all committees Build board engagement in strategic direction for new and ongoing operations Financial Performance and Viability Ensure fiscal integrity, including submission of annual budgets and monthly financial statements Manage fiscal operations within approved budgets while maximizing resource utilization Oversee compliance with financial reporting standards and professional performance Organizational Leadership Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous evaluation, and quality client services Lead, coach, develop, and retain senior management while fostering succession planning Engage staff, volunteers, board members, partners, and funders Establish systems to measure outcomes and report progress to stakeholders Resource Development & Marketing Provide visionary leadership for fundraising and revenue diversification strategies Partner with the Board and Director of Strategic Initiatives to cultivate major donors and funders Identify and pursue new funding streams and earned income opportunities Serve as chief ambassador and spokesperson Oversee marketing strategies to maintain strong brand identity and community engagement Establish and monitor fundraising and marketing performance metrics Planning and New Business Lead strategic planning for organizational growth Build partnerships in new markets and sectors Guide business planning to align new opportunities with mission and sustainability Other Duties Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors Required Experience: 6-8 years of nonprofit management experience (Social Work/Human Services track), or 8-10 years of nonprofit management experience (Health/Business Administration track) Proven excellence in organizational management and team leadership Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising (individual, corporate, foundation giving preferred) Experience working with a Board of Directors Strong marketing, public relations, and communications skills Knowledge of employment laws and nonprofit regulations Superior oral and written communication skills Knowledge of public and private funding sources Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Demonstrated empathy for low-income and marginalized populations Nice-to-Have Experience: Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Health Administration, or Business Administration Entrepreneurial and innovative leadership in program development Required Skills: Executive Leadership & Strategy Nonprofit Governance & Board Relations Fundraising & Revenue Diversification Preferred Skills: Strategic Planning & Business Development Financial Management & Budget Oversight Public Relations & Community Engagement Change Management & Organizational Development Additional Skills: Strategic vision alignment Stakeholder engagement Succession planning Compliance oversight Performance measurement and reporting Community partnership building Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About GTT: GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
