We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support our metal fabrication manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, goods, and services required to support production. The position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, cost control, and supplier performance - directly impacting production schedules and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Purchase raw materials, goods, and services in accordance with company policies and procedures Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete Coordinate with operations and planning teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support production schedules Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and past performance Negotiate pricing, volume discounts, and favorable payment terms Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards Resolve supply chain issues to minimize production disruptions Ensure compliance with federal/state procurement regulations, industry standards, and ethical sourcing practices Maintain accurate purchasing data within the ERP/MRP system Work closely with production, finance and logistics teams to align procurement activities with production schedules, budget and inventory optimization targets Other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field Have a global perspective on sourcing and a mindset focused on maximizing cost-effectiveness through continuous improvement Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills Highly collaborative with a strong, team-oriented mindset Bilingual Mandarin/English is highly preferred Experience working in an ERP/MRP system Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite .Why You'll Love Working Here Opportunity to make a real impact on the success of the company Be part of a team that values innovation, efficiency, and craftsmanship Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment Pay $75,000 - $95,000 per year DOE Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid time off IRA with matching $ Working Environment On-site role in a production facility - daily presence on the shop floor required Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above-mentioned essential duties Occasional travel will be required for training Ready to join a company that puts people and safety first?
