Emergency Department Physician (Board Certified / Board Eligible) Contingent Upon Contract Award Location: Hampton, VA Position Overview Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC (“EHS”) is actively pursuing a federal contract to provide on-site Emergency Department services at the Hampton, VA Medical Center. This position is contingent upon contract award. The Emergency Department Physician will provide comprehensive emergency medical care to eligible Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries. Services will be delivered in accordance with VA policies, federal regulations, and clinical standards that meet or exceed the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) guidelines. The selected candidate will function as a key member of the Emergency Department team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Compensation Estimated Compensation Range: $106.00 – $190.00 per hour Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, credentials, and final contract funding. Minimum Qualifications · Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution · Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) · Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory · Current DEA registration · Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS · Eligibility for VA credentialing and privileging · U.S. citizenship as required for VA facilities · Experience in emergency or urgent care preferred Duties and Responsibilities · Perform medical screening examinations and provide comprehensive emergency care · Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and traumatic injuries · Stabilize critically ill or injured patients · Perform emergency procedures consistent with the scope of practice and privileging · Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests · Coordinate admissions, transfers, and specialty consultations · Document all patient encounters in the VA electronic health record system · Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives · Adhere to all VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and federal guidelines Performance Expectations · Deliver timely, clinically sound emergency care · Maintain compliance with VA credentialing and privileging standards · Demonstrate professionalism and effective interdisciplinary collaboration · Meet or exceed contract quality metrics and patient satisfaction standards Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
